For all of us at Woodside, caring for horses and meeting the needs and expectations of their owners is not just our job, it’s our passion. Born of an early interest in the animal and a desire to help, it has ultimately lead us to where we are now, doing what we love.

"This vet clinic has been a true blessing! My horse showed a very very swollen irritated eye over Thanksgiving, I called every vet in the area. Most vets did not answer me but some of the ones that did said they could not take an emergency because I was not a client, even my usual vet did not reply. That was NOT the case with Woodside! I called and we had an emergency vet on the phone within 5 minutes, and within the next hour that emergency vet (Dr. Montague) was at our farm and treated Secret on Thanksgiving day. Dr. True came for our follow up today and she was just as wonderful and diligent! Secret’s eye is so much better and I have a happy horse again! "My farrier noticed my gelding had an abscess on a Monday and he became increasingly lame by Wednesday. I sent an email Wednesday night (after hours) and was emailed back 1st thing in the morning. Dr. Tate was out that afternoon. She did an amazing job (couldn’t get him out of the paddock because the gate is difficult). Worked around the challenges. She asked my husband to have me call so she could explain what I needed to do. I called and left a message- returned my call within 10 min. Explained the process and made sure I understood. Woodside Equine Clinic, located in Woodside, Virginia is a 4,500 square-foot facility with a 10 stall barn and two isolation 2 isolation stalls, 5 outpatient stalls, a reproductive center with a dedicated foaling facility, 7 additional stalls and turn-out paddocks for hospital cases. The have 3 exam rooms for diagnostic or routine procedures including endoscopy, digital radiology, ultrasonography, and shockwave therapy, as well as a surgery suite available for a wide range of routine or emergency surgical procedures.
