"My daughter and I just completed Tad's groundwork and riding sessions over the course of the last few months, I honest to goodness owe this man so much more than his fees (which are very reasonable btw). I warn you now, there will never be enough space on this page to say all the things I need to say, so I'll try to summarize. And if you are looking for anything negative, you won't find it. Tad is the REAL deal. My daughter and I started in a rough place. I myself am terrified of horses due to a childhood accident. We then bought a horse, back in October (no affiliation with Tad) that sent me to the ER; my daughter watched in horror and later got canned herself...twice. We were both terrified of him. Ready to sell him. Wouldn't use him. And started to believe the people we purchased him from weren't as honest as we thought. We had never spent this much on a horse, but I wanted the terrifying beast gone. Initially, my plan was to have Tad put some time on our horse to "fix" him b/c clearly, the horse was the problem, not us. But, then he announced these Horsemanship classes; I had a nagging feeling that we were supposed to take them. After I explained our situation to Tad, he agreed, and even spent the time further explaining how WE had gotten in this place with our horse, the poor horse wasn't at fault at all, here we had scared the tar out of the poor guy and he was just reacting to our bad decisions that we put him in. We learned so much, how our horses think, how they communicate, how every one of our moves means something, down to the tiniest details, and how to do them correctly. My daughter finally started to build a bond with a horse she previously admitted to being terrified of, she was smiling again for the first time in over 6 months. I could go on and on about these courses but I think you get the picture. SIGN UP, TAKE THEM! My eyes were opened to even the simplest of things. I also have my own horse that used to be amazing, and over the course of a year started showing bad habits that I had blamed on him, and come to find out with these classes, I was the reason he was acting up. So as you can see, I was on the verge of selling two good horses, one of them that truly is a diamond. I was started to doubt the people that had represented the diamond horse and would have given them a bad name. I would have had to purchase two more horses, that in the end, we would have ruined b/c of our lack of knowledge, and then we would have been back at square one yet again. Do you see how much money and frustration Tad saved me on this topic alone? Possibly the biggest thing, I'm able to bond with my horse, without fear, for the first time in my life. Learning how to build a relationship has helped me work through a lifetime of a fear of horses and for the first time, I'm truly enjoying the horses we've had this entire time, right in the backyard.
