About

Kocher Equestrian Center lessons are taught by Kristin Kocher Gretok, who has been riding since before she could walk and teaching since she was about 15. Kristin combines technicality with fun in order to create a positive learning environment for you and your equine partner. Kristin is an accomplished and experienced rider who can take on individual riding projects in order to give your horse some further, in depth education and boost them to the level you as an owner would like them to be at. Training rides will improve your horses ridability and help them learn faster, allowing you to also progress further in your education. Training can also be used to keep your horse in riding shape while you are unable to yourself.

Outdoor Ring: Sand and Limestone Mix, 220'x120', This is the main lesson ring and has a full course set during the warmer months. Outdoor Ring 2: Sand and Limestone Mix, 275'x265', This ring is typically empty of jumps, making it great for hacking, lunging, and flatting during lessons. Indoor Ring: 220'x60', Sand, Our indoor ring is set with gymnastics during the warm months and a full course during the cold ones. It has 3 large doors that are open in the summer to let more light in. These doors are shut in the winter to give the ring more warmth and protection from the elements. Trails: Kocher Farm has beautiful fields and trails winding through the woods and the power lines. Take your horse out for a stroll and escape the monotony of ring work. Kocher Farm boasts 36 spacious stalls with 9 of them being matted. All are bedded with pine shavings and most have a large feed trough in the front. Stalls are picked daily and rebedded three times a week. We have 2 well lit, central grooming stalls. Aside from our two main grooming stalls we also have four aisle cross ties. Our newly renovated tack room is well lit and has plenty of room for your supplies. There is also an attic storage space for blankets. Wash stalls have hot water, heat lamps and a sliding door to keep you and your horse toasty during the cold months making it great for both bathing and clipping in the winter. Kocher Farm has 2 large, grass turnout fields. We use these fields for both group and pair turnout, as well as smaller turnout areas suitable for pair or solo turnout.
