About

Sue Ballentine is the owner, trainer, and instructor for High Meadows Farms. Sue started riding at a very young age and has not been able to stop since. Sue has a very unique way with horses and people. Great communication skills, the ability to teach riders of all ages from toddlers to seniors, and a friendly, professional attitude that makes High Meadows Farms a place where everyone feels welcome. Although Sue is a double certified horseback riding instructor, teaching people how to ride is not her main objective. She views herself as a builder of self-confidence, acceptance, and responsibility. So many of Sue’s students arrive at her barn for the first time as scared, timid, and withdrawn individuals. They are immediately taken in by Sue’s caring and friendly embrace and quickly feel at ease amongst the quiet and understanding horses and the friendly smiles of everyone around. Upon becoming part of High Meadows Farms these students suddenly blossom into strong and confident people and feel like they have a place where they belong.
