What clients have to say about Karen Altieri

Testimonials

"We were a family who knew nothing about horses. Our daughter started lessons at Linden Farm in 2020. The confidence she has gained is unmeasurable. She has a deep connection with the horses she rides. She has learned more about responsibility than we could ever teach her. She is 12 years old now and grooms and tacks her horse independently and refuses help when offered. Linden Farm has been life changing for her. Thank you to the staff for caring about the riders and helping them to excel in the ways they choose to." - The Deal Family
"As an adult learning to ride, Linden Farm has instructors with patience and caring to insure my riding experience has been wonderful!! I also board my horse at Linden farm. The owner's superior knowledge of horse well-being and care as well as an on call veterinarian assistance gives me peace of mind!" - Patricia Tetrault.

Facility

Linden is a restored Plantation House circa 1783. The home is on the National Register of Historic Places and is in the Maryland Conservation Heritage. It is situated on 47 acres of farmland, 35 of which comprise Linden Farm. The Farm has two very old barns, the tin-roofed barn at the corner of Linden Farm Place and Mitchell Road dates from the early 20th century, certainly before 1920. The second is a Tobacco Barn with a restored Cedar Roof dating from the mid-1800s. The Farm is also host to Linden Farm Inc., and an indoor riding arena and 16-stall barn with full amenities.
