Since the 1930s, Dana Hall has offered a comprehensive hunt-seat equitation program that focuses on equitation, hunters and jumpers. Located on campus, the Karen Stives '68 Equestrian Center offers complete stable facilities and lessons ranging from beginner to advanced with instruction to suit every level of rider. We emphasize confidence, safety, and control at every level.

Facility

There is stabling for 45 horses at KSEC. The state-of-the-art barn has spacious stalls with two indoor heated wash stalls and feed room. The more expansive of the two indoor arenas, the Larson Arena is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, jumps and mirrors. Constructed in 2017, the Cookie DeSimone Arena is a 200 x 200 outdoor arena with dust-free footing and a complete set of horse show jumps. Our excellent staff of equine professionals provides continuous care ensuring the safety and well being of our horses and our riders at all times. Veterinary and blacksmith care are coordinated by the KSEC's Horse Care Coordinator, ensuring personalized care to meet the individual needs of each horse.
