Testimonials
“ Own a Racehorse Racing is a passion that unites all generations and as a family, we have had horses with Suzy for over ten years. Suzy and her Team have openly invited us to get involved in all aspects of racehorse ownership and I can genuinely say that horse welfare is a top priority. Here's to many more years of fun and friendship Sarah P.
“ Suzy has a knack for bringing out the best in her horses, turning Missoula from a horse with a back problem and bad feet into a Royal Ascot Stakes winner. She is always there for her horses and indeed her owners. It has been a joy and great fun to be associated with Suzy and the yard and I could not recommend the experience highly enough. Dena Arstall

Facility
Lower Coombe Stables really is a paradise for horses! It is set in the middle of the Angmering Park Estate a stunning, tranquil 6500-acre private Estate in the South Downs near Arundel. We have wonderful facilities initially developed in the early 1980’s by Lady Anne Herries who sent out Celtic Swing among others from this famous training ground. We have an absolutely fantastic one-and-a-half-mile Soft Track gallop. It winds its way up through the valley and finishes on an incline for the last four furlongs which is great for building the horses’ fitness and muscle mass. Because the gallop is uphill where the horses are doing their fastest work it takes the pressure off their front legs. We also have a very useful 4-and-a-half-furlong woodchip gallop which is slightly undulating. We mainly use this as a warm-up gallop or for starting off the young horses. It is good to have this surface as it can withstand sub-zero temperatures, so we can use this gallop even when the weather is particularly harsh. We have an excellent schooling ground with baby hurdles, hurdles and fences. We also have a horse walker and a weighbridge. We have ten individual turnout paddocks and 28 acres of grazing, so the horses have access to daily turnout throughout the season and can spend their summer break here as well.
